BlogMasters... set your CMS blog software to automatically ping this new Google service (read how at the link).
Here's what Googles says about their Blog Search tool:
Blog Search is Google search technology focused on blogs. Google is a strong believer in the self-publishing phenomenon represented by blogging, and we hope Blog Search will help our users to explore the blogging universe more effectively, and perhaps inspire many to join the revolution themselves. Whether you're looking for Harry Potter reviews, political commentary, summer salad recipes or anything else, Blog Search enables you to find out what people are saying on any subject of your choice.
Your results include all blogs, not just those published through Blogger; our blog index is continually updated, so you'll always get the most accurate and up-to-date results; and you can search not just for blogs written in English, but in French, Italian, German, Spanish, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese and other languages as well.

The folks from Google are at it again... Google Base (in BETA as we write this review), is their new content data base where you enter things you want to show up on Google. One of the categories is "Blogs", so we listed it here, though there are also categories for PodCasts, Jobs, Recipes, etc. -- just about anything.
Here's what Google says Google Base does for you: "Google Base is a place where you can easily submit all types of online and offline content, which we'll make searchable on Google (if your content isn't online yet, we'll put it there). You can describe any item you post with attributes, which will help people find it when they do related searches. In fact, based on your items' relevance, users may find them in their results for searches on Froogle, Google Maps and even our main Google web search."

There are over 30 million blogs, and counting. With so many people reading, writing, and commenting on blogs (where do we find the time?), getting to the high-quality, relevant content on a timely basis is difficult. For a variety of boring, complex technical reasons (such as an exclusive emphasis on freshness, or a simplistic computation of "authority" or the inability to identify spam), other blog search services deliver less-than-satisfying results.
Who needs Sphere?
1 People interested in timely topics, who aren't quite sure about this whole blogging hoo-ha.
2 Readers who already use blog search engines, and are sick of disappointing results and spam. Those who secretly crave a faster, more intuitive, and feature-rich experience.
3 Publishers who might like to include some really good blog content in their websites, but only if it's really, truly good.
